Flooding, Leaving DoorDash, Feedback on New Hours

Dear Kava Community,

Yesterday many local businesses were effected by the storm and we ended up having to close early. However, I am so grateful and impressed by all the people who flocked to the kava lounge to stock up before we had to close the doors so thank you for making up for the lost hours! Don’t worry, the flooding here has been solved for the most part at the moment and we will be back open on Tuesday.

This week we tested out slightly new hours (opening at 3pm, closing at 10pm or later for events) which received great feedback and will become the new norm here, so thank you for your feedback and patience as we got a feel for the new sales trends after going brick’n’mortar last year.

Sunday’s event cancellation means that next week will finally be the first week in as long as I can remember where there will be no special programming other than regular service, a much needed opportunity for staff to relax around lots of kava and less decibels. That being said, we finally have like a million $1 earplugs arriving soon due to popular demand in an effort to make future events here even more comfortable for you so look out for those. Special events will resume on October 7th with a mixed genre show.

I also would like to thank everyone who found the kava lounge via DoorDash these past few months, however it has become too difficult for a small business like this to keep prices where we want on there so the tough decision has been made to leave the platform. Please consider picking up from our cozy lounge instead.
