Big Giveaway Today, a Piece of Kava History Unearthed & More!
Dear Kava Community,
Your support since I last wrote has really been incredible, I cannot thank you enough. It made me so busy however that I ironically seemed to have skipped a few weeks of the e-newsletter. Hopefully you have not been staring at your inboxes this whole time.
COMING SOON TO KENTUCKIANA’S ONLY KAVA LOUNGE
After being postponed twice already, our event slated for tonight will unfortunately have to be cancelled. Matthew John, who we booked to talk about astrology, has had his tour derailed by severe sickness that has sadly taken a turn for the worse. We wish him a speedy recovery and safe return back to the northeast.
To promote tonight’s event, I was going to have a giveaway to one lucky attendee who would win a gift bag with over $60 worth of (21+) product but since the event is not taking place I will instead give it away to the first customer who comes in today and mentions this e-newsletter. Our next event is now not until a December 7th rock show with Newclear, Deep Above, and Narco. After that, December 17th and 28th will be our last events of the year.
BICYCLE CART BAR TOP FINDS NEW LIFE IN-LOUNGE

Summer of 2022 I started a bicycle cart to minimize my carbon footprint
Nearly lost or destroyed, I recently found the hemp stained bar top from CVK’s bicycle cart era just in time to hack a new setup at the lounge and I love it! This salvage has already begun making each drink served here extra special, I just cannot get enough of it. Last night I even reused some scrap cardboard to block print a fun design on the fabric around the bar, and you will notice that the original banner designed by Chris Chew is still flying proud now just like before going brick’n’mortar. Come check it out sometime in all its glory.
REMEMBERING LES BLANK

Born on this day in 1935
Today we celebrate the life of Les Blank, the first filmmaker to be featured in our Microcinema. Of course we had to screen All in This Tea, his masterpiece following tea proprietor David Lee Hoffman as he networked with farmers and distributors in Asia and then sampled ancient blends imported to Hoffman's eccentric Marin County tea vault. Les Blank is also known for other great documentaries such as Burden of Dreams, In Heaven There is No Beer?, Gap-Toothed Women, and Puamana which was filmed in Hawai'i to help preserve their music scene — suggesting that the spritely filmmaker has likely had kava.
